Our priority is to grow high quality, strong and healthy plants that provide our customers the best opportunity for a successful organic gardening experience.
We offer over 220+ varieties of certified organic plants including herbs, tomatoes, peppers, vegetables, fruits and flowers. We only offer our plants in 3.5" pots. It is important that our customers have success with the plants that they purchase from us. We want to do everything we can to offer the greatest opportunity for success. It is our belief that any pot smaller than 3.5" can not contain the necessary nutrients to support a plant during transplanting and it's early stages of growth. Transplant shock can inhibit the growth of a plant by several weeks.
Additionally, we want our customers to be able to maintain their plants organically. For these reasons, we use our own potting mix recipe to start and grow the plants in 3.5" pots. Our potting mix contains both short and long nutrients as well as disease fighting ingredients to help sustain a strong and healthy plant with minimal inputs.
We also utilize techniques that increase stem strength and durability of the plants. The plants are grown in our greenhouses until they are strong enough to be place outside and "hardened off". "Hardening off" the plants allows them to become acclimated to the outdoor sun, temperature and humidity. Once outside they get fresh rainwater, winds to further strengthen their stems, and the partial sun to begin their adjustment. It is our goal to get the plants outside as soon as they are ready. After a few days, the plants are now ready to find a new home.
