Caution !!! - Hot Page
This page is filled with information about some of the hottest peppers in the world. Yes, we like to heat it up sometimes and these peppers will definitely heat up your garden. Every year, we try to find the worlds hottest pepper so we can provide it to those brave enough to grow, handle, and eat them.
Since we try the fruits and vegetable from every one of our tomato, sweet pepper and vegetable plants, we "unfortunately" also try the fruits of these pepper plants. I will provide one important piece of advise before trying these peppers - have a lot of milk, ice cream, whip cream, or any other cold dairy product ready.

Bhut Jolokia - "Ghost Pepper"
Trinidad Scorpion Moruga
This pepper has been tested at just over 2,000,000 scoville units. Honestly, I am not looking forward to trying this pepper, but will make the sacrifice for the sake of learning. Come on...it can't be that bad. Here is an interesting story on the pepper. I especially like the part about the capsician penetrating through the latex gloves they wore. Scary.

Carolina Reaper
This is the current reigning champion of heat. This pepper has been tested at over 2.2 million (yes...million) scoville units. The word "hot" doesn't do this pepper justice. Is it bad? My taste buds thought so, but many of you crazy chili heads may love it. Look at it...it just screams painful heat and it delivers.
